Food Rescue At Home
Composting: Set up a composting system in your backyard or even indoors using a compost bin. Instead of throwing away organic waste such as fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, and eggshells, compost them to create nutrient-rich soil for your garden or potted plants.

Meal Planning and Preservation
Plan your meals efficiently to minimize food waste. Additionally, learn food preservation techniques such as freezing, canning, pickling, or dehydrating excess fruits and vegetables to extend their shelf life and prevent them from going to waste.

Soil Rejuvenation
At Home
Mulching: Collect fallen leaves, grass clippings, and other organic materials from your yard to use as mulch. Spread a layer of mulch around your plants to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve soil structure. As the mulch decomposes, it enriches the soil with essential nutrients.

We are consistently striving to create sustainable employment for marginalized people, to create services and products that will serve the needs of our community, and doing it in a way that creates the smallest environmental footprint possible.
At our core we are a company that supports and empowers. All of our programs grow organically from the needs of the community around us with those 2 values in mind.
How it Works
Our programs have grown and changed a lot during our 25 year history. But one thing has never changed, if you donate to a specific program or campaign 100% of those donations go to aiding the beneficiaries directly. Aangen’s services invest in the marketing, operation and administration of the programs. So you can be confident, your support has the maximum impact to those in need. With every dollar you spend or donate, you vote for the kind of world you want to live in. A dollar invested in Aangen is dollar invested in supporting marginalized people with sustainable jobs, supporting families in need with accessing goods and services, and creating channels to connect one organization’s excess to another organization’s needs.
